Zest Restaurant at Hoopers (Harrogate 2024)

Even though it says 2024, it was the last couple of days the year and I decided to treat my mum to lunch and she told me about this place. I have never been in Hoopers but this was the first time.

The menu was a basic style department store cafe, I ordered myself a chicken and bacon salad with the most delicious croutons, it needed more of a dressing but otherwise it was delicious and I also got myself a Fentiman's Rose Lemonade.

Mum ordered a club sandwich which was massive and a cappuccino and she enjoyed it.

I also ordered us two cakes to share, raspberry Bakewell and a blueberry Bakewell, these weren't the best cakes and I was disappointed especially as I knew I was doing gluten free a few days afterwards so wanted to overload on gluten and it was a let down.

It cost £34.55 which might seem expensive but it was delicious and a lot of food.

The place was very busy but was clean and the staff was friendly, you go to the counter, order and then they bring it over and that was it, nobody came and asked if the food was good or did we need anything which was kind of annoying because I could have done with some more dressing or mayo.

I will definitely go back and try other dishes they have.
