Maude & Noah turned 5 on Sunday 5th November 2023, I have a five year old baby. I want to share the previous blog posts I have done on this:
Here is what I have really thought about in the 4 year leading up to year 5.
Don't expect success: Don’t expect to be successful straight the way, I know a lot of people but not everybody has the money to help support by buying products or they don’t want to support.
Be more prepared: This next year I am planning to have everything ready a month before the launch, during year 4 there has been months where I get the labels a few days before the launch.
Stay focused: I was redoing the photos for the new website and found a product photographer who I want to redo the photos so I was creating a plan but only had a week left until the website was relaunching so I need to start staying focus on taking the photos and yes I will at a later date use the product photographer but focus on now.
Am I Shutting The Business?
The answer is I don’t know. At the moment I am not, I am giving it until the 6th birthday to try and turn things around. I have had multiple conversations with my parents, they ask me why I run a business when I work full time for another company earning a decent wage, I work for this company from Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, I could be getting the train early in the morning at 6am and not getting home until 7pm so why bother running Maude & Noah that isn’t making me a wage. I understand the question especially as I was getting up early at the weekend to do the markets. When I say I am not making a wage that is exactly it, I am making money but when I have another big idea for the brand most of the time I personally need to finance it.
The reason I am giving it another year is because I have put Maude & Noah down for a massive event that could potentially expand Maude & Noah plus I have another event that I am planning on organising which I will document and show everybody on Maude & Noah’s YouTube channel.
