HOW TO:

  1. Shake before use.

  2. Dispense a small amount into the palm or the back of your hand.

  3. Smooth on and blend throughout the face, ideally outward from the midpoint of the face.

Before we start I use the Benefit POREfessional on the right side of my face (left in the picture). I use this primer when I have a long day so thought I would see how it works with and without primer. Also the only other face product I use is a bronzer to contour, I don’t want to use any concealer or powders that might effect the way the foundation sits and the end review will be a full face.

Sponge

Every time I do a first impression or review of a foundation I get a brand new Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge that I went.

Bare face just with my usual skincare.

Primed the one side.

Foundation applied using a brand new Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge that I dampened.

Contoured my face using my Zoeva brush and Benefit Hoola bronzer.

Makeup all done and my skin looks powdery.

7pm: My skin doesn't look that good, the chin looks patchy yet my forehead looks greasy.

Date Tried: Tuesday 22nd March 2022

Brush

Every time I do a first impressions or review of a foundation I use a clean Morphe M6 Flat Buffer Foundation brush.

Bare face, just skincare.

Primer on just the one side.

Foundation applied using the brush, my favourite brush, the skin looks good but not completely full coverage.

Contoured using my Benefit Hoola bronzer.

Makeup all done.

7pm: My face looks worn, the foundation is slightly patchy.

Date Tried: Thursday 24th March 2022

Fingers

Bare face except skincare.

Primer on one side.

Foundation applied with my fingers, it looked a mess so I gave up, wiped it off and redid my makeup with a makeup applicator.

Date Tried: Monday 28th March 2022

Full Face

Full Face of makeup, not just the bronzer and eye makeup.

Bare face except skincare.

Primer all over the face.

Foundation applied using the Morphe brush I have been using as well as blending in the creases with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

Concealing my under-eyes and spots.

Contoured my face.

Highlighted my face a little.

Setting spray all over.

Makeup all done

7pm: Don't I look like a right mess, makeup, hair, dandruff all over.

Date Tried: Wednesday 30th March 2022

My score has improved since the last revisit but not as high as the first time I ever tried it. I like this foundation if I don't have any skin problems like spots or red skin but sadly I do suffer with red cheeks, it doesn't last long on my skin either so short term wear for me.

First Impressions: 4/5 - Overall I will continue using this foundation but probably use a moisturising primer as well as my regular morning moisturiser as well as during the day when I feel my skin getting drier use a makeup fixing spray. It is full coverage, lightweight, semi-matte but it does settle into fine lines and isn't all day wear.

Revisit: 2/5 - This foundation is lightweight like it claims, I would say it is medium coverage and doesn't last all day without settling into fine lines. I have done a blog post that will be coming up soon where I am trialling a primer with multiple foundations so see if a primer is needed for this foundation.
