REVIEW: Waitrose Thrive: Wholewheat Spaghetti with Creamy Mushrooms

At the time of me trying this I was on my diet and wanted to try microwave meals that are calorie counted.

INGREDIENTS: Cooked wholewheat spaghetti pasta (water, Durum wholewheat semolina), water, kale, whole milk, mushrooms (9%), chestnut mushrooms (5%), onion, white wine, single cream (milk), pecorino cheese (milk), mushroom concentrate, cornflour, tapioca starch, extra mature Cheddar cheese (milk), rapeseed oil, parsley, garlic purée, salt, yeast extract, porcini mushroom powder, mushroom powder, rosemary, thyme, black pepper, sugar


NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION (for the meal):

  • Energy: 1425 kJ

  • Energy: 339 kcal

  • Fat: 11g

  • - of which saturates: 3.6g

  • Carbohydrate: 43.8g

  • - of which sugars: 3.9g

  • Fibre: 5g

  • Protein: 13.7g

  • Salt: 1.43g


HOW TO COOK:

  1. Remove sleeve and pierce film.

  2. Place on a microwaveable plate.

  3. Stir halfway through.

  4. Re-cover and continue heating.

  5. Check food is piping hot, if not heat for further period.

  6. Stand for 1 minute before serving.

  7. Stir before serving. Do not reheat once cooled.

(800W: 4 mins 30 secs, 900W: 4 mins, 1000W: 3 mins 30 secs)

I really like this meal, I am not normally a fa of kale but this one was delicious. I can't wait to purchase and try it again.
