REVIEW: The Gym Kitchen Thai Green Chicken

I have tried a few of The Gym Kitchen meals so thought I would try more.

INGREDIENTS: Cooked Vegetable Rice Mix [Carrots, Onions, Water, Brown Rice, Peas, Edamame Soya Beans, Lime Leaf, Red Chillies], Cooked Chicken Breast (20%) [Chicken Breast, Cornflour], Water, Coconut Milk, Onions, Semi-Skimmed Milk, Herbs, Lemongrass, Ginger Purée, Garlic Purée, Green Chilli Purée, Fish Sauce [Water, Anchovy Extract (Fish), Salt, Sugar], Cornflour, Galangal, Salt, Sugar, Rapeseed Oil, Spices, Gelling Agent (Pectin), Concentrated Lime Juice, Red Chillies


NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION (for the meal):

  • Energy: 1483 kJ

  • Energy: 355 kcal

  • Fat: 8g

  • - of which saturates: 4g

  • Carbohydrate: 40.4g

  • - of which sugars: 7.5g

  • Fibre: 6.7g

  • Protein: 31g

  • Salt: 1.5g


HOW TO COOK:

Step 1: Remove sleeve and pierce film lid.

Step 2: Microwave on full power for 212 minutes (800W), or 2 minutes (900W).

Step 3: Stir thoroughly, re-cover and continue microwaving on full power for 2 minutes (800W or 900W).

Step 4: Stir thoroughly. Check food is piping hot. Allow to stand for 1 minute. Do not reheat once cooled.

This is the first dish I have tried of theirs that I wasn't impressed with, there wasn't really any flavour in my opinion.
