Maybelline Fit Me® Dewy + Smooth Foundation
The foundation I have decided to try this primer with is my Maybelline Fit Me® Dewy + Smooth Foundation (aka Luminous + Smooth) in which I wrote a blog post about it and if you would like to read it then click here.
Done my skincare and this is what my face looks like without primer or any other makeup.
I have applied the primer on my right side (left in the photo) so I can see what the difference is with wear and not wearing the primer. You can see the primer is very white on the skin.
You can see on the side with the primer it has a slight pink tone to my skin whereas my normal skin tone with foundation looks yellow toned. I noticed on my forehead (my dry spot at the moment) is slightly flaky with the primer and foundation on.
The only other face products I use is my contour, Benefit Hoola bronzer.
Makeup is all done and apart from there being a slight pink hue to the side with the primer there isn't much more of a difference.
Update #1 (10:50am): Update, the nose has creased on the side with primer.
Date Tried: Friday 9th April 2021
Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation
I have a blog post that shows my first impressions of this foundation so if you would like to read that then click here.
Skincare done and ready for makeup.
Applied the primer to the right of my face (left in the picture) and you can see the differences.
Foundation applied.
Again, the only face product I use is my Benefit Hoola bronzer.
Makeup all done, it seems patchy on the side with the primer.
Update #1 (2:15pm): I feel like the side without primer is looking better than the other side.
Update #2 (7:45pm): Both sides look okay.
Date Tried: Monday 12th April 2021
Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup Foundation
This foundation I have recently done a blog post on, if you would like to read it then click here, if you have read the blog post you will know that the foundation didn't hide my pore, made me quite matte.
Skincare done and no makeup or anything.
Primer applied, I have realised that this primer lightens the skin.
The foundation is patchy on both sides.
Contour my fat face.
I know my foundation isn't the right shade for me.
Update #1 (8:15pm): I was hoping this primer would help this foundation but it hasn't.
Date Tried: Tuesday 13th April 2021
Revlon ColorStay™ Foundation For Normal/Dry Skin
Another foundation where you can read a blog post about it if you click here.
Skincare done.
I have applied the primer to the one side.
Foundation applied.
Again the only other face product is my contour powder.
Makeup done, love my eye makeup, hate how my skin looks.
Date Tried: Wednesday 14th April 2021
My opinion of this primer is that it just makes my skin look pale and ghost like, not really dewy.
