REVIEW: RANA Cooks to Perfection Risotto Milanese

You will know how much I love RANA products since I did the blog post REVIEW: RANA Fresh to Fantastic Tagliatelle Carbonara so when I saw they had a risotto I had to try it.

INGREDIENTS:

Fresh Sauce with Cream, Smoked Ham and Saffron: Water, Cream (from Milk) 33%, Smoked Ham 11% (Pork, Salt, Dextrose, Spices, Spice Extracts), Onion, Rice Starch, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Natural Flavourings (contain Milk, Wheat), Salt, Black Pepper 0.1%, Saffron 0.03%, Turmeric, Precooked Rice: Arborio Rice 58%, Water, Sunflower Oil, Salt, *P.D.O. Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese (from Milk): Milk, Salt, Rennet


HOW TO:

Step 1: Unpack the ingredients but keep the box lid.

Step 2: Before opening, squeeze the pouch of rice to separate the grains. Empty the rice into the tray, making sure it's spread out.

Step 3: Pour the sauce over the rice & stir to coat evenly.

Step 4: Put the box lid back on & microwave for 3 1/2 minutes at 750 W*.

Step 5: Remove from the microwave (be careful, it'll be hot), stir in or sprinkle over the Parmigiano Reggiano & leave covered for 1 minute before serving.

I want to admit something, I have never had risotto. This tastes so good, when I first looked at it I thought 'oh no, I am going to be hungry after this' but I wasn't, I felt so stuffed afterward but in a good way, I didn't feel blotted or disgusting, since I did this blog post I have purchased it again.
