REVIEW: Picard Porcini Mushrooms Risotto

I want to find easy and quick dinners for those days when I get back from work and can't be bothered to cook.



PACKAGING: Plastic bag


INGREDIENTS: Cooked rice 57%, water, cep 10.6%, single cream (milk), grated cheese (contains milk), butter (milk), onion, white wine, skimmed milk powder, modified rice starch, mushroom stock (liquid from cooking cep and mushroom, salt), salt, parsley, natural flavouring, vegetable stock [vegetables and vegetable stock (carrot, tomato, onion, garlic), sunflower oil, salt], garlic, dehydrated cep pieces 0.05%, pepper.


NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION (for 100g):

  • Energy: 646 kJ

  • Energy: 154 kcal

  • Fat: 5.9g

  • - of which saturates: 3.6g

  • Carbohydrate: 21g

  • - of which sugars: 1.1g

  • Fibre: 0.5g

  • Protein: 3.8g

  • Salt: 0.75g


HOW TO COOK:

COOKING WITHOUT DEFROSTING:

Frying pan:

  1. Pour the desired amount of risotto into a cold frying pan of a suitable size.

  2. Add 3 tablespoons of water for 250g of risotto.

  3. Reheat on medium heat for the indicated amount of time, stirring regularly.

  4. For 250g : 8 min - For 500g : 10 min.


Microwave oven:

  1. Pour the desired amount of risotto into a suitable dish.

  2. Reheat for the indicated amount of time, stirring half way through.

  3. Stir the product well before serving.

  4. Microwave power level: For 250g: 750W 7 min – 900W 5 min. For 500g: 750W 10 min – 900W 8 min.



I cooked it in a pan, I thought it was a little bland and could do with some seasoning for a little flavour otherwise it was good.
