REVIEW: Maybelline Lemonade Craze Eyeshadow Palette

I haven't tried many eyeshadows from Maybelline and saw this on ASOS and there was a discount code on there for beauty so thought I would get a few things to try and decided this point was one item I might like.

As you can see the pictures above my palette came slightly messy looking and it is completely sealed up so I kept it plus the tray came out of the packagaing, below is a picture from Maybelline's website, the palette is different in America I think.

Look #1

I use my favourite eyeshadow primer from Max Factor on one eye, my right eye (left in the picture).

Sherbet: I use my Real Techniques base shadow brush to put this all over the eyelid and it goes on so nicely, sorry I forgot to take a photo.

Sweet Tea: Using my Morphe M441 brush I blend this shade into my crease and above.

Old Fashioned: With the same Morphe M441 brush I blend this shade into the crease

Main Squeeze: Using a dainty Real Techniques Accent Brush I put this shade under my brow bone and on my inner eye.

Old Fashioned: Using my Spectrum B04 brush I blend it under my eye to give it a smokey look but again I failed and forgot to take a photo it seems..

The finished look and I love the makeup, the hair on the other hand - yikes!

Update #1 (6pm): I completely forgot I was doing this blog post until I looked in the mirror and saw the eyeshadow - whoopsie, so the inner corner isn't the best but during the day I do rub at my eyes and I am constantly scared I have sleep there so for it still being there slightly is pretty good for 12 hours its good.

Update #2 (10pm): My eyes are still looking pigmented but looking tired.

Look #2

Used my primer on my right eye (left in the photo).

Berry Ice: with my Real Techniques brush I pat this shade all over the lid, why have I forgot to take a photo of this again.

Coral Punch: I blended this shade into my crease and slightly above using my Zoeva Luxe Soft Crease Brush (221), the shadow looks more pigmented on the eye with the primer and was easier and quicker to blend.

Old Fashioned: reusing my Zoeva Luxe Soft Crease Brush (221) I blended this shade into my lid, I really struggled to blend on the unprimed eye, I was adding more and more product to try and get it similar to the primed eye.

Old Fashioned: I lined my under eyes with this shade using my Real Techniques brow brush and slightly smudged.

Main Squeeze: Real Techniques Accent Brush to use to highlight the corner of my eyes and under my brow bone.

Makeup complete and I like my right eye (left in the picture) whereas the other eye looks messy and I just don't feel like the shade was easily blendable without a primer.

Update #1 (7pm): the eye without primer has slightly moved where my oily lid has formed.

Look #3

Primed my right eye (left in the picture) using my favourite Max Factor primer.

Sunnies: covered the whole eyelid with Sunnies using my Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush.

Sweet Tea: blend this shade into the crease using my Morphe M441 brush, it was more pigmented on the eye with primer, struggled to get it the same on the eye without primer.

Strawberry Lemonade: I patted this shade onto the eyelid using my Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush.

A bit of a natural look, it's annoying that one eye is perfect and the other isn't.

Update #1 (8:00pm): The eye without primer looks smudged slightly.

Look #4

All primed (only the one eye).

Sherbet: This shade all over using my Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush.

Sweet Tea: Using my Zoeva 221 Luxe Soft Crease Brush to blend in the crease, I have noticed it looks better with the eye primed side.

Sugar Coated: Using my Real Techniques Brow Brush I lined my bottom waterline and under that with this beautiful shade.

Citrus: With my Real Techniques Accent Brush I place this colour on my tear duct to highlight it.

Makeup all done.

Update #1 (5:30pm): Slight movement on both eyes.

Update #2 (9pm): Movement, you can see my eyeliner has transferred and I think this is all because I didn't wear a primer.

Overall it is a good palette, I am disappointed it came a bit messy but I managed to clean it up, it doesn't have a citrus scent in my opinion and has a nice neutral shade plus a few berry and orange shades, I wish there was a white shimmer but otherwise it was good, you definitely need a primer if you suffer with oily eyelids like myself.
