I have never tried any Kat Von D foundation, they have rebranded to KVD.

Before we start, when I try out the different application (sponge, brush and fingers) I put primer on one side to see whether or not you need it with the foundation.
Sponge
My skin before any makeup.
Primed my right side (left in the picture). Whenever I do blog posts trying out foundations I use my favourite primer from Benefit.
I applied the foundation using my Real Techniques Complexion Sponge, now it is easy to blend, it is too light for my skin but I think that is because I have remanding tan on.
The only face product I am using is bronzer to contour that fat face.
Makeup all done, it is very matte looking.
Update #1 (9pm): Dry.

Brush
My skin is prepped with skincare.
Primed half of my face.
I am definitely a sponge kind of gal when it comes to foundation, I buffed the foundation in and it just clung to the dry patches.
The only other face product to be used is bronzer and makeup is all done.
Update #1 (7:30pm): Dry and patchy.

Fingers
Got my skin ready with my skincare.
Primed one side of the face.
I applied the foundation with my fingers and hate it, it is very patchy.
The only other face product I used was bronzer to contour my fat face.
Makeup all done and still don't like the foundation.
Update #1 (7pm): Not the best look.

Full Face
My skin before primer or any makeup, just skincare.
I primed my whole face.
Applied my foundation with a sponge and it looks good.
Applied concealer and blended out using a sponge.
I applied some translucent powder under my eyes to bake.
Contour the face, giving my face a little shape.
Highlighter to give my self a glow.
Makeup all done and I really like how it looks.
Update #1 (8:30pm): The foundation looks cake-y and patchy.

I feel like maybe my skin in the summer would like this foundation when it is not so dry but it definitely isn’t for dry skin. I initially liked how it look but throughout the day it was rough.
