REVIEW: Charlie Bigham's Beef Ragu with Rigatoni

I have tried many Charlie Bigham meals so had to try a few more.



PACKAGING: Wooden tray, cellophane wrap and cardboard sleeve


INGREDIENTS: Rigatoni Pasta (Water, Durum Wheat Semolina), British Beef (25%), Red Wine (Sulphites), Onions, Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese (3%) (Milk), Carrots, Cheddar Cheese (Milk), Tomato Purée, Celery, Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin), Beef Stock (Water, Beef Bones, Yeast Extract, Salt, Molasses, Tomato Purée, Rapeseed Oil, Onion Powder, Ground Black Pepper), Garlic Purée, Soy Sauce (Water, Soya Beans, Wheat, Salt, Alcohol), Rapeseed Oil, Parsley, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Salt, Red Wine Vinegar, Mint, Capers, Dijon Mustard (Water, Mustard Seeds, Vinegar, Salt), Thyme, Dill, Tarragon, Black Pepper, Secret ingredient: Obsession

HOW TO COOK:

Electric 220°C, Fan 200°C, Gas Mark 7, (+5 mins)Please don't grill!

  1. Pre-heat oven. Remove film but leave the pasta in its wooden tray.

  2. Place on a baking tray in the centre of the oven (away from any element or flame) and cook for 25 mins.

  3. Stir thoroughly covering all the rigatoni with ragu. Leave to stand for 2 mins before serving. Make sure it's piping hot.

This recipe includes some raw ingredients and isn't suitable for microwaving. Not suitable for freezing.



I love this, really flavourful and tasty. I served myself one portion and was going to have the other portion the next day but I couldn't, I just ate it all and then regretted it because of the bloat, this is addictive.
