RECIPE: Black Pudding & Stilton Sausage Rolls

You may have seen my sausage roll recipe and if you didn't click here to see that, I thought I would share another recipe that I love making.


Ingredients

  • 9 pork sausage

  • 300g puff pastry

  • 6 slices of black pudding (345g)

  • 75g blue stilton cheese

  • 1 egg


Method

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 180°C

Step 2: Remove the skins from the sausages and also remove the skin of the black pudding and crumble it in to the sausage meat.

Step 3: Crumble the stilton into the mixture (I made these when I made the original sausage roll so already had the egg bit done but that step will come up.)

Step 4: If you have made or bought a block of puff pastry roll it out on some grease proof paper, I just get ready rolled puff pastry, what I have done is cut it in half length ways

Step 4: Roll the sausage meat into a sausage and place in the middle of the pastry

Step 5: Roll the pastry around making sure they are connected/over lapping

Step 6: Now as I am not wanting both of these sausage rolls what I do is cut the grease proof paper and wrap one sausage roll up and put it into a zip lock bag then freeze


Step 7: Whisk an egg together

Step 8: With the sausage rolls I want to cook, I cut them to whatever size I want, I have done small sizes but as you can see on the tray there are some mini party size, they are the regular sausage rolls

Step 9: Put them into the oven for twenty minutes or until golden brown
