Nando's (Harrogate 2021)

I take my brothers out for their birthday to a restaurant of their choice now Mowgli chose Nando's so me, Mowgli and Louie went for lunch.

If you haven't been to Nando's or don't know what they do they are an Afro-Portuguese chain restaurant that serve chicken that you can choose the heat to.

First of all me and Mowgli wanted to try the Halloumi Sticks & Dip which I have tried halloumi before and didn't like it but thought I would try Nando's halloumi, now the sauce was chilli jam which I don't really like however I loved the halloumi and wish there was more.

I ordered Grilled Chicken Pitta in medium heat so inside the pitta was sliced chicken breast infused with PERi-PERi and grilled in medium spice with Lemon & Herb mayo and crunchy slaw in a tangy mustard dressing plus one side of PERi-Salted Chips and for a drink I ordered a RUBRO Rooibos Peach tea and loved it.

Birthday boy Mowgli ordered the Grilled Chicken Wrap which is a wrap with chicken breast infused with PERi-PERi and grilled in medium spice and with lettuce, he asked for no spiced yoghurt mayo and chilli jam but got a side of PERi-Salted Chips plus a refillable drink.

Louie ordered the 5 Chicken Wings in a medium spice and had two sides, he had the regular fries and spiced rice and also a refillable drink.

Now the restaurant was clean and the service was okay, we were seated and then told to scan the QR code, now I know COVID has changed things but there was not much customer service. Whilst I waited for the food I could see the manager messing about with three waitresses and it just didn't look professional, now I have worked in this sort of industry I know the behaviour was not right. Don't get me wrong the food was delicious but because there wasn't much service it feels like a fast food chain like McDonalds or KFC not a restaurant like it used to be.

We did go for milkshakes afterwards at Five Guys, Mowgli loves them.
