I can't recall ever trying a product from Too Faced and everyone seems to talk about this mascara so I thought I would treat myself and try this out.
CLAIMS:
Formula thickens, lengthens and curls after just one coat for the most luscious, dramatic and volumized lashes possible
Get mind-blowing lashes, every time
Film-forming polymers lock curl in place
Acacia Senegal Tree Extract sets volume
Peptides condition lashes Provides extreme volume and a more dramatic look with each coat
Hourglass-shaped brush unlocks the formula to create the perfect mascara
PACKAGING:
I like the packaging, however I like how the lid is metal, it makes it feel expensive but how come the bottle is plastic? I prefer smaller brush heads but we will see how this works.
HOW TO:
Apply from base to tip to luscious, volumized lashes
Just before we get on with this blog post I did another first impressions blog post on a foundation so if you can see imperfections with that then that's why. My eyelashes before are very pale, lifeless and need to be curled, now I won't use an eyelash curler when trialing a mascara out.
Layer #1: it claims 'one coat for the most luscious, dramatic and volumized lashes possible', it don't think that has happened.
Layer #2: second coat is so much better and I think they look a lot better, my eyelashes do look more luscious and dramatic.
Update #1 (2pm): Still looking better than my natural eyelashes but not as dramatic.
Update #2 (9pm): 12+ hours and they look limp but for such a long wear time it has lasted a good time.
Removal: It was easy to remove with regular face wash, it wasn't one of those mascaras where you have to use a little bit more elbow grease.
I actually like this mascara, I can't say that the claims are fully true, one coat doesn't completely give you that dramatic amazing look but another coat and your lashes look amazing so I am going to continue using it.
