FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Smashbox The Original Photo Finish Smooth & Blur Primer

This is the first Smashbox product that I have tried.

FACTS: In a consumer study on 103 women after 1 week of use:

• 93% saw blurred imperfections

• 93% saw smoother skin

• 91% saw minimized pores & lines

• 95% said it helped makeup go on flawlessly

• 94% said it worked well with their skin tone

• 94% agreed foundation blended more easily

HOW TO:

1. Smooth a layer over clean, moisturized skin.

2. Let it set for 15 seconds.

3. Wear alone or under makeup.

4. Can also be used over makeup for touchups.

Sorry about the dark photo. My skin is dry but before I applied the primer I put my usual moisturiser on.

I only applied the primer to my right side (left on the photo), I wanted to see if the primer keeps my favourite foundation at the moment on longer and makes it look better.

Foundation applied smoother on top of the primer side.

The rest of the foundation on, both sides look the same to me.

Update #1 (5pm): My forehead is burnt - WHAT? Fact about me I haven't gotten burnt for about 10 years, I don't know if its because of something being wrong with me but I have been on holiday and not worn suncream and haven't burnt but others on that holiday have. I need to remember to add SPF to my face.

Update #2 (7pm): I went for a nap and slept on my face but this is the after math, the side without primer looks better but I took the photo straight after waking up, I had woke up laying on one side and then rolled over and went to sleep and woke up on the side of the primer so you can see the imprint of whatever it was.

I have a confession to make, I am such a bad blogger and didn't take a photo of my makeup just before I washed it off but remember this is my honest opinion, would I purchase it myself? No, I don't think it is worth it, my makeup ended up looking the same on either side. I will do a revisit, maybe I will be like everyone else and love it in a while to come but I don't like it myself.
