I have been loving my stick foundation from Anastasia Beverly Hills so thought I would try another stick but more drugstore than higher end.
CLAIMS:
Matte foundation stick is perfect for oily skin and shiny t-zones
Instantly veiling your complexion in a velvety finish that stays flawless all day
The double-ended stick features two makeup must-haves: a shine control primer that preps your base, and a full coverage foundation to camouflage dark circles, blemishes and discolouration
On-the-go application is easy with this ultra-blendable stick
HOW TO:
Prep your complexion with the shine control primer. Glide over oily zones for a smooth, velvety canvas.
Starting from the centre of your face, apply the full coverage foundation. Blend outwards with fingertips or a brush.
To keep shine at bay, apply the shine control primer over makeup throughout the day.
I have prepped my skin with my skincare prior to apply this product.
I apply the primer on my chin, forehead and under-eyes because that is where I get oily as you can see, it hasn't completely got rid of the shine but it has taken a lot of it away.
They suggest using your finger to blend in the foundation so I have done one side with my finger but I didn't like it so continued with a Real Techniques Duo-Fibre blending brush.
I did the other side using my usual technique of using a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and I prefer using the sponge.
Foundation has been applied and I instantly don't like it, my forehead is patchy where I am dry, I wonder if once my face warms up and creates oils maybe I will like it.
The only other face product I use is a little bronzer to contour.
Makeup all done and I am not sure about this coverage.
Update #1 (6pm): My face feels tight like it is dehydrated and needs some moisture.
I know it is for more of an oily complexion but I thought I would try it as a dry skinned person who gets a slightly oily but dry forehead. I thought maybe throughout the day with my skin getting slightly oily that maybe the foundation would look a lot better but it definitely isn't a foundation for dry skin.
