FIRST IMPRESSIONS: L'Oréal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation

Cushion foundations are huge in Asia, we have had a few in the UK but not many, I love my Maybelline cushion foundation so thought I would try a new one.

CLAIMS:

  • Ultimate fresh nude finish

  • Customise your coverage

  • Effortlessly buildable application on the go

  • Medium coverage

  • Sheer luminous finish

  • Dewy glow foundation

HOW TO USE:

  1. Press the applicator onto the cushion to release the perfect amount of foundation.

  2. Gently tap the applicator onto the skin to build your desired coverage.

  3. Tap a little for a sheer, luminous finish, or tap a lot for buildable medium coverage

My skin is dry so I always try and use dewy foundations.

I applied the foundation with the pad you get but didn't really like the finish it gave me.

After a layer of foundation using the applicator I decided to build the coverage up using a Real Techniques Buffing Brush and preferred that way of applying it.

My usual makeup look went on exactly the same as usual.

UPDATE #1 (4pm): What has felt like a long day already has turned out to be a productive one, we are in the middle of moving house so I have been lugging boxes as well as doing a spot of cooking for Mother's Day. My skin is definitely dewy, I didn't apply highlighter because I wanted to see how it would look without the glow.

UPDATE #2 (7pm): Driving back to my second home (a blog post is coming soon) and I can't believe how long lasting and natural this foundation is. Some foundations can start cracking and becoming patchy on me especially in-between the eyebrows but this hasn't. Overall this foundation is brilliant for me, if you like a full coverage foundation then this one isn't for you but if you want something that is lightweight but also buildable to a medium coverage with a healthy dewy glow then this is perfect.
