Day With The Little Twincesses Isla & Iona (+Ideas to keep 3 year olds entertained)

When I first moved up to Yorkshire I moved in with family friends who I have mentioned on my blog multiple times:

Well I got to look after the Twincesses for the day whilst their parents were at a local festival.

First of all I can't believe how grown up they are, I haven't seen them since before COVID happened, they are stringing sentences together, full blown conversations.

I thought I would share some ideas on how to entertain kids their age because it worked for me.

Movies, Toys & Walk

Starting off with movies and their own toys, we did watch a couple of movies and if the weather was better I would have taken them to the park.

Rice Crispy Cakes

Making rice crispy cakes, easiest thing to make, a few Mars bars, some rice crispy cakes and cake cases, oh and some Smarties.

What I got them to do is put the cake cases in a tin, on Twincess decided we needed the Smarties on the bottom of the cakes so they both shared them out. On a chopping board and just a normal dinner knife I got them chopping up the Mars bars into small pieces and putting them into a bowl. Once cut up and in the bowl I put it into the microwave to melt and go gooey.

The Twincesses mixed in the rice crispies and then with my help put the mixture into the cases and decorated with the remaining Smarties. In the fridge for half an hour.

Hairdressers

I didn't take them to the hairdressers.

We played hairdressers, I plaited one of the girls hair and she decided to give me a messy bun (a very messy bun).

Make Pizza

Another cute activity making pizzas.

It was difficult making pizzas with them because all they kept doing it eating the cheese, Twincesses love cheese it seems. You may notice one has a bracelet on, both of them when to the festival the day before and she was telling me about the rides she went on at the place.

I can't wait to do more little activities with the Twincesses.
