Coco di Mama (Castleford 2024)

Coco di Mama is part of Azzurri Group which also have Zizzi and ASK however Coco di Mama is takeawy only.

I really fancied pasta the other day at work and I know they do gluten free so thought I would choose multiple dishes to try out.

I ordered the Supergreen Pesto Pasta and the Ham Hock & Pancetta Carbonara Pasta both with gluten free pasta.

The Ham Hock & Pancetta Carbonara gluten free pasta which is pulled ham hock, hearty smoky bacon and pancetta in a velvety double cream & Italian white wine sauce with black pepper. It was bland, tasteless and boring, I was really disappointed in this dish.

The Supergreen Pesto gluten free past is a vibrant blend of broccoli, fresh basil, kale and a hint of garlic. This wasn’t as bland as the carbonara but the basil flavouring wasn’t very strong.

I might try a different location but otherwise it wasn’t worth it.
