BATTLE OF THE DUPES #5: Barry M vs. Rimmel

I have quite a few nail polishes in my collection and saw these two nail polishes next to each other and thought they looked like a dupe but polishes can dry differently when applied so would put it to the test.

Before applying the nail polishes I prepped my nails with my favourite base coat; which is Ciaté Nail Super Hero.

I applied the nail polish one by one, the brush on the Rimmel is better than the Barry M one.

After applying the second coat of both nail polishes they were a solid colour so no need for any extra layers.

I always apply another favourite of mine, my Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Topcoat; which sets my nail polishes no matter what brand. What I did do was leave the nail polish colours on for about 15 minutes to see which one dries the quickest or sets better before applying the topcoat.

DAY #7: Started getting chips on all the Barry M nails, I am impressed that both nail polishes have lasted this long.

DAY #8: The Barry M nails kept getting worse so I decided to remove the nail polish and complete this blog post there.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Blueberry Purchased from: Boots Price: £3.99

Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine By Rita Ora Nail Polish in 860 Bestival Blue Purchased from: Boots Price: £2.99

Least layers applied: Both Dries quickest: Rimmel Best applicator: Rimmel Nicest to apply: Both Lasts longest: Rimmel Looks the best longest: Both

Overall the Rimmel was better but that is because it didn't chip, both were the exact same colour so I would class it as a dupe.

Is it a dupe: Yes

Date Tried: Friday 18th May 2018
