BATTLE OF THE DUPES #16: MAC vs. Rimmel

I follow AllInTheBlush on Instagram and she put up a post with MAC Velvet Teddy dupes and I thought I would try one out, to see the post she put up click here.

PACKAGING (MAC):

I normally like the MAC packaging when it's all black but when I purchased Velvet Teddy from the Debenhams store in Leicester they gave me this, I don't know if it is a special edition. I like the bullet style. I like the actual lipstick bullet.

PACKAGING (Rimmel):

I never really like the packaging for Rimmel's lipstick, it's just boring and not really thought about. The lipstick bullet is very flat.

CLAIMS (MAC): Creamy rich lipstick formula with high colour payoff in a no-shine matte finish.

CLAIMS (Rimmel):

INGREDIENTS (Rimmel):

Can't find them.

My lips aren't that dry today so thought it was the best time to put two matte (-ish) lipsticks to the test.

MAC: I applied the MAC lipstick to the left of my lip (right in the picture as you can see) and it glides on perfectly which I think is due to the shape of the lipstick bullet.

Rimmel: I applied the Rimmel lipstick to the right of my lip (left in the picture as you can see), it doesn't glide on as nice as the MAC one and I think that's because it is very flat but round and my Cupid's bow is quite pointy so it wasn't the easiest.

You can clearly see this isn't a dupe but not far off. Today I had to pop out so didn't continue wearing these lipsticks because the see me in person you can tell it's two different shades.
