5th Birthday of The Blog (+Why I Took Another Break?)

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY!

I honestly can't believe I have written my blog for 5 years, this is blog post number 836, I remember creating my blog, it was on Blogspot originally now it is a website.

Each year I reevaluate my blog and look at how I would want to change it so obviously you have seen above what the blog used to look like and below is the new site, I wanted to give it a little TLC.

I wanted the site to be a little more simple, I was supposed to keep updating the banner but just don't have time so did some little doodles of some of the popular blog post categories I do.

Obviously I changed the style of the blog post thumbnail that I upload to Instagram, like I do every year.

Not only that I have decided to reduce the amount of blog posts I write, at the bottom of this blog post there is a little write up about why I had to take a break but from now on I will be doing blog posts Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Monday will be beauty blog posts. Wednesday will be fashion blog posts. Friday will be lifestyle blog posts. Then one weekend each month I will be doing the unboxing of subscription boxes so at the moment I only do Glossybox and Roccabox but in the future there maybe more. The first few weeks will be travel blog posts and when I do travel blog posts they are generally a week long but otherwise expect blog posts three times a week.

+Why I Took Another Break?

I am exhausted!

Working Monday to Friday 8am till 5pm in a job, obviously having to get up and travel to the job, getting a promotion which means traveling to other countries.

Running Maude & Noah my online gift shop, packaging orders, creating social media posts, designing new products, manufacturing new products and attending events.

Running The Perfume Dot, creating social media posts, engaging with people.

Writing the blog five times a week.

I was exhausted and just needed to take a step back and figure out what I had to do to be able to get better because my health was deteriorating so figured if I took some time off any reevaluated my life so this is how it will be my Monday to Friday job is staying the same, Maude & Noah I have support from my brother and dad but I am not launching as many products as I used to but also reduced how much I have on my site, The Perfume Dot is a Sunday job and that's it and the blog I took some time off and have managed to write up quite a few blog posts that are not time specific so I am a head but also only doing three blog posts a week from now on except special occasions.
